Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Monopolising' website, customer portal, or services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Monopolising Ltd is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14616090).

2. Our Services

Monopolising acts as an independent broker. We compare deals from utility providers and help businesses find better rates for energy, telecoms, insurance, and other business utilities. Our brokering service is free to you — we are remunerated by providers when you take out a contract through us.

3. Free Quote & No Obligation

Requesting a quote or bill review carries no obligation to proceed. You are under no contractual obligation until you have signed a contract with a provider. We will make all costs and commissions clear before you commit.

4. Authority to Act

By engaging our services, you confirm that you have the authority to enter into utility contracts on behalf of your business, or that you have obtained the relevant authorisation from the business owner or directors.

5. Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate information about your business, utility usage, and circumstances. Inaccurate information may affect the suitability of recommendations or validity of contracts obtained.

6. Regulated Products

Products such as wealth management and income protection may constitute regulated financial advice. Where applicable, these are provided by or in partnership with firms authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We will identify regulated elements clearly at the point of engagement.

7. Customer Portal

Access to the customer portal is personal to you. You must keep your login credentials secure and not share them with unauthorised parties. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account credentials.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to direct losses arising from our negligence or breach of contract. We are not liable for decisions made by utility providers, changes in market rates, or losses resulting from information you have provided that is inaccurate or incomplete.

9. Complaints

We are committed to resolving any complaints fairly and promptly. If you have a complaint, please contact us at hello@monopolising.co.uk or 0333 456 456 1. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 8 weeks. As a member of the Energy Ombudsman scheme, energy-related complaints that we cannot resolve may be referred to the Energy Ombudsman (energyombudsman.org) for independent adjudication.

10. Commission Disclosure

As a broker, we receive commission from utility providers when you enter into a contract through us. This commission is paid by the provider, not by you, and does not affect the price you pay. We will disclose the nature of any commission arrangement upon request. For regulated financial products (e.g. wealth management, income protection), we will clearly identify the FCA-authorised firm providing the service and how they are remunerated at the point of engagement.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
